Artist take risk:
I felt really awkward drawing someone nude, but once i started working actually working on it and enjoyed working with the chalk and seeing new techniques while doing the highlights on her arm, stomach and breast. Artist communicate through their work: I really liked this piece because i enjoy being around kids, especially little ones. I hope to one day have kids and i feel while being pregnant that's an important time to make a connection with your child. Artist create original work: No one i have seen has done a pregnant women, i feel has if most teens always see kids in a negative way just because now a days because so many young girls are getting pregnant around 16.

Artist develop art making skills:
I really was uncomfortable with doodling in the petals because i felt as if it would look bad because i can't really draw well. I looked at some drawing/doodling books and got inspiration from those and some that i came up with myself. Artist create original work: I created this because i really enjoy flowers and i tried to make it look like a daisy because those are my favorite flowers. The doodles inside are just thinks and designs i found really fun to draw and enjoyable to look at. I feel like it really represents me because i like just natural beauty. My artwork for surrealism is an eye with a lip around it such as having an eye in the mouth. In the background there is lines to show architecture in it.
What inspired me was the rolling stones cover with the tongue and mouth being on a canvas board and twisting it by putting an eye in it. When my viewer looks at my artwork i want them to be creeped out such as them just watching jeepers creepers or human centipede. It was not what i expected when i finished i thought it was not going to be good with the lines honestly, but in the end i love it with the lines. My artwork for light was the Brooklyn bridge with the buildings in the background and the light reflecting from the water under the bridge.
I was able to create this artwork by seeing images of the bridge and wanting to recreate it. I used black paper with oil pastels and used my fingers to help blend it inward. It was very hard to get everything very precise and everything straight with the windows which had light in it. My artwork was made because my aunt lives in New York and when i went in about 2009 we went over that bridge leaving and going to New York City. We rarely see her and it made me feel closer to her. My sound artwork is showing sound waves of music. I used paint to make the background and make the sound wave lines. I blended multiple blues and white together to create the background. I blended yellow and orange to make one of the sound waves. Then i used a purple to make a sharp sound wave and a green to make it loose.
When i started working on this artwork i wanted to make sound waves making me think back to music and how much i enjoy listening to it everyday. I was nervous to work with acrylic paint because i usually don't work with it i did pretty well for not always working with it. I did expect it to turn out that way i had a clear image in my mind of how and what colors i wanted it. When the viewer sees this i want them to imagine listening to either a specific song or their favorite song. When i made this piece i was thinking of my favorite songs and how sometimes they have sharp noises or some soft noises that you can kind of hear in the background. |
